Dr. Motos

Richard R. Motos, D.P.M.

Dr. Motos is a native of Illinois who enjoys his new location here in the Central Valley. He is a first generation Filipino-American who enjoys having a unique cultural background to share with his family and friends. Having been from a rural town, he has lived in Chicago and New York City, and now enjoys the pace of valley life. He enjoys the warm and friendly atmosphere of Visalia and its residents,  trips to the Sequoia National Forest and Yosemite, as well as visits to the beach with his family. Dr. Motos brings with him extensive training to serve his new hometown with compassion.

Previous education includes undergraduate studies at University of Illinois at Chicago and Northern Illinois University, where he recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, with a Minor in Chemistry, and where he was on the Dean's list frequently and became a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Dr. Motos then pursued his education in Podiatric Medicine at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, earning his degree as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in May of 2001. Dr. Motos then furthered his education by training in New York City at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and its affiliates throughout the 5 boroughs and Long Island for 3 years where he was trained on the latest techniques in podiatric surgery and the newest advances in wound healing. 

Dr. Motos is currently on staff at Kaweah Delta Hospital, as well as Cypress Surgery Center and donates his time at the Samaritan Center. Professional Associations include the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and the California Podiatric Medical Association. He maintains a license to practice Podiatric Medicine in the State of California, and he also holds California Licentiate Supervisor and Operator Permits for Radiography and Flouroscopy.
